Emterra Helps Bereaved Families of Ontario Fund-Raise

HAMILTON, ON (March 3, 2012) - Emterra Environmental helped sponsor the Hamilton/Burlington Bereaved Families of Ontario home chef competition held at Hamilton's restored Liuna Station on Saturday, March 3. Called the "Bay Area Dads for Dads Ultimate Chef 2012", the "friendly" cooking challenge brought together 38 community-spirited men to showcase their culinary skills, including Emterra's own Brian Gogo, general manager of Emterra's Niagara Region operations. Brian prepared a 'soup-licious' seafood chowder. Hundreds gathered in the former train station, restored to its previous architectural glory, to sample the variety of appetizers, soups and entries.

"The Bereaved Families of Ontario supports parents and siblings who are experiencing grief through loss of family members. Their excellent operations are financed entirely through their own fund-raising efforts. We were happy to be able to make a contribution to this inaugural event and to their on-going work in the Hamilton/Burlington area. At Emterra, we believe we have an important role in giving back to the communities in which we live and work and this is an exceptionally worthy community endeavour," Brian said.
