Where our electric fleet lives:

Comox Valley, BC

Eight trucks starting August 2024.

This EV fleet will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 480 tonnes per year, equivalent to taking 104 cars off the road.

Peel Region, ON

One truck starting October 2023.

This truck is part of a pilot project aimed at testing and promoting low carbon energy as a viable solution for waste collection infrastructure. The pilot involves Emterra, Peel Region, and the Smart Freight Centre as an academic partner.

About Mack Trucks New LR Electric Vehicle

Zero Emissions

2 AC motors provide a combined output of 536 peak hp with no exhaust emissions and no aftertreatment systems for reduced maintenance.

Zero Diesel & Oil Changes

The clean, green environment impact of the Mack LR Electric is a zero carbon vehicle that requires no diesel or oil changes meaning less pollution and cleaner air.

Regenerative Braking

A two-stage regenerative braking also recharges batteries during the many hundreds of a tops a collection truck makes in a day, even with an increasing load.
