Tim Hortons & Emterra Test Curbside Collection of Beverage Cups

May 03, 2013

Coffee cups (or plastic-laminated paper beverage cups, as they are called by industry-insiders) have been a source of challenge for the recycling industry for years. While they are great at supplying us with our daily cup of joe, managing these cups at their end of life is not an easy task.

Emterra Environmental partnered with Tim Hortons, Stewardship Ontario and other leading recycling organizations to explore collecting these cups in curbside blue box programs in the City of Burlington and the County of Brant, Ontario. Learn more about this special project here.
