Ryse Solutions Inc. enters the marketplace as Canada’s first fully integrated Producer Responsibility Organization

June 21, 2018

Well known recycling pioneer Emmie Leung announced today that she has started a new company, Ryse Solutions Inc., that is Canada’s first fully integrated producer responsibility organization offering compliance, advisory and material recovery services and solutions.

Headquartered in Burlington, Ontario, Ryse Solutions is backed by an in-house and partner network of waste resources collection, processing and end-market companies. Ryse Solutions has the expertise, experience, equipment and facilities to deliver integrated solutions to producers, manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers of products and packaging materials to help them comply with individual producer and extended producer responsibility regulations across North America and to meet their own recycling and sustainability targets.

“Ryse Solutions has the experience and direct access to a well-established end-of-life product and packaging management infrastructure through its partnership with Emterra Group, Circular Polymers Group, and other organizations – making Ryse Solutions unmatched in this space,” says Emmie Leung, CEO, Ryse Solutions. “Consumers want to buy with confidence that products are sourced, designed, manufactured, distributed, sold and finally managed in a way that contributes to a healthy local economy and environment. Ryse Solutions will help our clients meet both regulatory and consumer demands.”

In an effort to grow the circular and low carbon economy, new regulations are setting the standard that companies must comply with as a part of their day-to-day operations. In addition to regulatory changes, progressive organizations are continually looking to meet shifting consumer demands while operating in a more sustainable way – reducing and reusing material inputs and external outputs.

“Ryse Solutions has been created to work with organizations to help them meet their growing regulatory and supply-chain compliance requirements and to create strategic partnerships across the circular economy value chain,” says Gordon Day, Vice President of Ryse Solutions. “Ontario’s new tire regulation contemplates and provides the opportunity for producers to retain the services of a producer responsibility organization (PRO) to assist them in meeting their obligations starting in 2019. Utilizing the in-house hauling and processing services of Emterra Tire Recycling, Ryse Solutions is able to assist Ontario tire producers in achieving their service and target requirements.”

“We are committed to making the process seamless and secure for our customers,” adds Day. “Together, we will work with our clients to find the best solutions possible so they can continue to grow their business.”
