“We’re looking for eco-warriors who want to get out in their community to make it cleaner and greener,” explains Paulina Leung, Vice President Corporate Strategy and Business Development for Emterra Group. “True champions are community champions and the Emterra Clean Community Cup™ is an opportunity for family units to make an environmental impact and to make our natural green spaces cleaner for today and tomorrow.”
To be entered in the Emterra Clean Community Cup™ participants need to share photos and videos of their community clean-up efforts on social media using the hashtag, #CleanCommunityCup. Organizers want to see creativity and for entrants to think about the environment, waste reduction and recycling.
Emterra and the Petes will pick weekly and monthly winners and at the end of the Petes 2020-21 hockey season, one family will be crowned the Emterra Clean Community Cup™ champion, and take home a $1,000 Visa gift card.
“Our hockey season looks a little different this year, and the Emterra Clean Community Cup™ offers an opportunity for families and fans to stay connected with the Petes while doing something positive for their community,” explains Eric Ebenbauer, Director of Corporate Partnerships for the Peterborough Petes. “This week, we’re warming up for the challenge and giving family units a chance to get their clean-ups going. We’re excited to see what our fans bring, starting next week.”
