Veteran product stewardship and waste diversion leader, Gordon Day, joins Emterra Group

Emterra Group’s founder and CEO, Emmie Leung, announced that Gordon Day, well-known for his work in developing policies and programs in waste diversion for public and private sector organizations throughout Canada has joined Emterra Group’s national leadership team as vice president of circular economy and sustainability.

“With almost 30 years of experience in producer responsibility programs and waste diversion consulting for packaging and printed paper, electronics, beverage containers and batteries, Gordon brings to Emterra a rich background and extensive experience in developing end-of-life product and packaging stewardship solutions and programs. His knowledge and abilities will help Emterra Group shape our services as our nation and the industry transition to a low carbon, circular economy,” Ms. Leung said. 

Gordon has held various leadership positions at Reclay StewardEdge, Corporations Supporting Recycling (CSR) and Resource Integration Systems providing counsel for all levels of government, industry partners, trade associations and non-government organizations. He has also provided consulting services for individual producer responsibility initiatives for brand owners/producers and retailers.

Gordon is leading the circular economy and sustainability functions at Emterra Group, including the development of new services and partnerships across Canada that support Emterra’s corporate strategy, mission, vision and values.
