Emterra Group Leader, Emmie Leung, Completes Elite Ivey Program
BURLINGTON, ON (May 26, 2016)– Emterra Group Founder and CEO, Emmie Leung, is among a select group of Canada’s top entrepreneurs who recently completed QuantumShiftTM, a unique, by invitation only, leadership development program held at the Ivey Business School in London, Ontario.
Emterra Group is a Canadian leader in recycling resources and waste management serving more than 10 per cent of Canada’s population. QuantumShift was created by Ivey and KPMG Enterprise and sponsored by TD and The Globe and Mail. Ivey and KPMG accept nominations and invite a select group to participate in the intensive five-day annual program. Now in its 13th year, QuantumShift is designed to help Canadian business entrepreneurs who are past the start-up stage and are ready to accelerate their companies.
The program focuses on how to lead an enterprise through exponential growth; attract and retain the best employees; uncover obstacles that may be limiting growth; value a venture and use strategies for moving from business plan to financial proposition; and build a strong network of entrepreneurial peers to share best-practices.
With this graduating class, more than 500 successful Canadian entrepreneurs have completed the QuantumShift program, including Ms. Leung. She credits the course with fostering an environment of open dialogue where participants can share experiences and challenges – a rarity at the CEO level – allowing them to learn from others.
Leung said the course gave her a unique opportunity to interact with peers and to hear about and be inspired by the success stories of other family enterprises that have withstood the test of time and challenging economic cycles.
