Through Emterra Environmental (formerly Halton Recycling Ltd. and International Paper Industries), Emterra Group offer a wide range of recycling and waste diversion services to the industrial, commercial, institutional (ICI), residential, and municipal sectors for a variety of waste streams, including recyclable materials (e.g. cardboard, mixed office paper, newspaper, plastic containers, polycoat containers, glass, aluminum and tin), tires, liquid waste, organics, construction waste, and general waste. Each customer’s needs are different. As such, we offer fully customizable recycling and waste diversion programs for any waste stream and service schedule.
Our services can be provided by frontload, roll-off, and compactor bin, and curbside (door-to-door) collection.
A free audit can be provided to assess your current disposal system to see if there are any opportunities to maximize recycling and increase savings through our services.
Our Services
- Single Stream Recyclables Collection & Recycling
- Through our single stream MRFs, we offer single stream recycling services not only to municipal customers but also to the ICI sector. The convenience of single stream recycling is no longer just available at home but at the workplace as well.
- We accept office paper, newsprint, cardboard, and various types of food and beverage containers. A wide variety of containers are available to hold your recyclables, including 95 gallon toters, cages, Blue Boxes and deskside Blue Boxes, whatever your needs.
- Cardboard Collection Recycling
- We offer compactor and baling equipment for customers that generate a large amount of cardboard and to reduce the amount of the space used for holding cardboard
- Waste Collection and Disposal
Any of the above services can be provided using the following methods:
Front End Collection
- Front load containers range in size from 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8 cubic yard bins with plastic or metal lids, in a flat-top or slope top configuration with or without castors
- Customized pick up schedules from one to seven times per week
- Materials collected through front load containers include: single stream recyclables, garbage, and cardboard recycling
Roll-Off Collection
- Roll-off containers range in size from 10, 20, 30, 40 to 50 cubic yards
- Containers can be loaded from the top or through the back via the end door
- Containers offered on temporary and permanent use
- Suitable for sites that generate a high volume of garbage or recyclables, such as construction, institutions, and manufacturing
- Ideal for spring and fall cleanup events for homes or multi-family buildings
Door-to-Door Collection
- Door-to-door recycling and waste collection services, which are suitable for townhouses and condominiums
Other Types of Collection
- Materials can also be collected using totes, cages, and Blue Boxes, which are suitable for office and multi-residential buildings
- 5 Tonne truck service to collect a large amount of recyclables such as baled cardboard, boxes of old files, etc.
Other Services
We also provide bin rentals and accept recyclable materials delivered to any of our MRFs.
